Lee Wagner, a North Georgia native and Ga Tech engineer, started RLW custom homes  in 1993.  After learning the construction business from the ground up, with hands on framing, carpentry, and other field work, RLW homes became a leader in the custom home industry in North Ga.

Jiri Chlepko grew up in the Czech Republic, with extensive studies and training in computers and technology.  Jiri came to the US in 2000 in hopes for a brighter future.  Jiri started working on a framing crew where he developed extensive hands on experience building custom homes.

Jiri and Lee worked together for years in the traditional sense of typical construction practices until one day there was a "Major elevation feature" that was incorrectly constructed on site as compared to the 2 dimensional CAD drawings for that project.  At that point Jiri approached Lee and told him that the limitations of 2D CAD could not have given him the information he needed to correctly construct the home but he could figure the issue out in 3D and fix it correctly...the first time...and with that...they were off to the races.

This "solution" was the inception of RLW Virtual Solutions in 2007.  This company was designed to help other designers and builders deal with some of the same issues RLW Homes had faced and conquered.  For years, Jiri and Lee worked along side some of the biggest named firms in the country, and even in different parts of the world.  But, at the end of the day, trying to blend the traditional system; hand sketches, 2D schematic designs, etc..., with the 3D system, still created issues and.  There were still a lot of inefficiencies and complications that were created from trying to start with traditional 2D design and then finalize with 3D design...still not harnessing the full power of 3D design...still wasting time and money. 

That is what led to the creation of RLW DesignS in 2013...a full 3D design firm, from inception to completion.  Using all the power and accuracy of 3D design from the initial site placement model, figuring out all the topography issues for the Most efficient house placement, to finalizing colors and design, walking through the completed home, with all the final details, before even breaking ground! Creating designs with all the quantities and values for accurate estimating, clear expectations of what the client will see as the finish product, and even allowing a client to virtually walk through their one of a kind luxury home before it ever starts.

Lee and Jiri both have a firm belief in serving others using the resources they have been blessed with.  They are involved in mission work around the globe, using their resources with local non profits, as well as investing in a mentor program for upcoming high-school students interested in 3D design and technology.
